OUR STORY
Our brand started four decades ago by Mr. Guisong Saetia, who is Chinese people. He migrated to Thailand due to World War II. The company initiated the production of clocks including battery wall clocks and self-winding wall clocks to release by using the logo as anchor and chain logo under the brand names is three brands as follows;
- Anchor brand
- Steel Master
- Anchorstar
With the trend of a growing business is progressing. So, we ordered to produce the high quality grandfather clock from Germany. To be imported in Thailand by using the brand name “Moathe”, which we are the first and only importer in Thailand.
Cease operation of Anchorstar wristwatch
In those days, people did not like to wear the wristwatch and thought that the wristwatch is extravagant and unnecessary for them. People focus on pending money to buy only essential items that. Consequently, Anchorstar brand watches have shut down. Then, we only produce battery wall clock and self-winding wall clocks with branded “Anchor brand”, which is still a long-standing brand with Thai people to the present.
The return of Anchorstar wristwatch
The Anchorstar wristwatch has been brought back in 2016 by a third generation heir. They inspired by the coincidence of finding the old Anchorstar watch from the past, which has been around for as long as four decades, the watch is still ticking and working well. So, they started to look for more information and find out that Anchorstar is still popular among lovers and collectors. Up until now, it is a rare and old clock that many people find to be in possession.
WHAT IS ANCHORSTAR?
Anchorstar wristwatch is a classic brand that was generated in 1970 with its simple and classic. The machine is automatic with the ETA2783 Swiss Made, but the popularity of wristwatches in that era is minimal. Consequently, Anchorstar has stopped production and shut down. However nowadays, Anchorstar is the wristwatch that collectors find it to be in possession. Therefore, we have to re-manufacture again. By this time, the design of the new wristwatch is elegant and flat. To meet the era and accept the lifestyles of the new generation, but the wristwatch is still the classic and simple model is always emphasized on wearing. And wristwatch has changed the system as The Quartz Ronda Swiss Made system for ease of wearing and greater accuracy.
